Birds singing a song,

old pain is peeling,

this is that fresh

that fresh feeling.

Words can't be that strong,

my heart is real,

this is that fresh,

that fresh feeling... (The Eels)

What's up y'all? Are you ready for a pleasant entry? Don't everyone fall out of your chairs now as you try to scramble back to your little screens to read the rest of this - I am going to write something that isn't quite so bitter and angst ridden....just hold on now.

Do you know what the temperature was today? Well I don't exactly either, but it was HOT. It had to be somewhere in the high 80s or early 90s with the humidity and all and I LOOOOVED every saturated moment of it.

By the grace of God I managed to get my lazy ass out of bed 40 minutes before my 8am (remember this is the class I am regularly late for or just plain sleep through), even though I hadn't gotten to bed till late, after a nice conversation in the evening air. I had time to grab something at the 'bucks and managed to stay fully attentive during the entire, boring-as-hell lecture. After the morning classes were done I had time to squeeze in a workout and then lunch before I was to head down to the Museum of American History. That was until I realized that I DIDN'T HAVE TO GO, because - hello internet! - it was all online just waiting for me. With all that free time just waiting to be filled with something outdoorsy, I decided to head down that way and find a nice spot in the sun to finish some of my drawing work and catch the rays.

Boy, was it beautiful! I hate to admit it to myself but I am SO much happier when the sun is out and the air is thick with the heat of summer. It's so much nicer to walk around with toes poking out of sandals and nothing covering those bare legs and arms.

Things are so much brighter lately...and even the 15 odd page paper that is calling me to write it (and I haven't even picked a topic yet) isn't phasing me at this point. Hells yeah!

And formal is coming up this Friday...oooh the thrills!
